Terms of Service

Terms for website use, initial assessments and any later written engagement.

1. Acceptance and service identity

By using this website, you agree to these terms. GDE Investigative Analysis is an independent investigative consulting service and is not affiliated with Latham & Watkins LLP.

2. Nature and scope of services

Services may include review of client-provided records, public blockchain transaction analysis, evidence organization and investigative reporting. Services are analytical and informational. Specific scope, deliverables and exclusions for paid work must be stated in a written engagement.

3. No legal representation

This website does not offer legal services and contacting us does not create an attorney-client relationship. Legal services, when needed, must be provided by an independently licensed attorney under a separate agreement.

4. No guarantee of outcome

We do not guarantee that assets will be located, identified, frozen, returned or recovered. We do not guarantee action by banks, exchanges, courts, regulators or law-enforcement agencies. Results depend on facts, data availability and third parties beyond our control.

5. Client responsibilities

You must provide information lawfully, accurately and in good faith. Do not send passwords, seed phrases, private keys, one-time codes or material you are not authorized to share. You remain responsible for preserving original records and obtaining independent legal, financial or tax advice.

6. Fees, billing and engagement

The initial scope assessment is offered without charge. No paid work begins unless fees, payment timing, deliverables and material expenses are disclosed and accepted in writing. No contingency fee or success-based payment applies unless expressly stated in a compliant written agreement.

7. Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation and refund terms for paid work will appear in the written engagement. Unless that agreement states otherwise, fees for work already performed and approved third-party costs are not refundable; unused prepaid fees are returned after final accounting where required.

8. Third-party services

Banks, exchanges, messaging platforms, technical providers and referred professionals operate independently under their own terms. We cannot control their availability, decisions or security.

9. Intellectual property and website use

Website content may be viewed for personal informational use. You may not misrepresent this service, copy content for deceptive use or interfere with website operation.

10. Limitation and applicable law

To the extent permitted by applicable law, liability is limited to direct losses arising from the specific paid service. The governing law, dispute process and any jurisdiction-specific consumer rights for paid work will be identified in the written engagement.

11. Changes and contact

Updated terms apply prospectively from the date shown above. Questions may be directed through the contact details published on the Contact page.
